Daijah Davis

As Director, Oral Health, Daijah leads the Foundation’s focus on oral health, working to ensure that everyone in North Carolina has access to quality, affordable oral health services.

Daijah joined the Blue Cross NC Foundation in April 2022. Most recently, she worked as the Oregon State Director for Family Connects International, where she supported the Oregon statewide roll out of the Family Connects postpartum nurse home visiting model.

Daijah received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science - Health and Society from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

What I love about my work:
I love that my work allows me to support incredibly smart and skilled people working in their communities to move toward their goals for community health. I view them as the experts and myself as a lever of support to the work that they do.

When not at my desk:
My absolute favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband Brandon and son Langston. I also love learning from the stories and experiences of others through listening to podcasts and watching documentaries.

Favorite thing about North Carolina:
I am not conventionally outdoorsy; however, I deeply appreciate the beautiful greenery that covers so much of the state. I also love the fun outdoor activities – like patio dining – that the warm climate allows for so much of the year!
